Happy 4th of July, Everyone! Our family spent the day with some new friends I met through the new Mom's group in Hoboken. We drank some wine, ate some cheese and crackers, and chatted about our babies all afternoon. It was quite fun. Our Owen slept most of the time, and at one point, made a silent but deadly mess all over himself and his Daddy...who ended up having to wear some of our host's clothes home! Fortunately, our kind host offered Chris a Boston Red Sox shirt, so at least he would have the illusion of being in familiar surroundings.
We have some pictures from today; you can tell because Owen is wearing his festive red white and blue from Grandmom Lee and Granddad Bob. (They believe in dressing appropriately for the 4th of July...and so does Owen now!) Lucky for us, the pictures were taken before he mussed his clothes and also had to leave in different attire!
The other pictures are from my visit to Red Bank to see our friends, the Pirchners. That was Owen's first trip to the beach....his mama got a lot of sun that day, but he didn't get any! These other pictures are from bathtime this evening, and showing-off his cool turtle slippers earlier this morning.

Goodness,
Owen is growing so fast! He looks really big in these pictures! I'm glad you had fun things to do over the 4th! We're just at home keeping Gretchen company...the 4th of July is her least favorite day of the year because the fireworks really scare her. Thanks for posting new pictures...we love to see them.
Love, Grandma Crystal
Hi,
Owen looks very patriotic in his red, white & blue. He can come to a 4th of July party at our house anytime. Sounds like you had a nice time with some new friends. We spent part of the evening with Hillary & Bill Clinton. For those of you who may wonder about this, we live in Iowa where all the Pres. candidates are hanging out.
I'll email you a couple of pictures.
Lee
