Baby suppositories work!

Well, the title really sums up our exciting Friday night. Our bound-up baby finally woke around midnight on Friday, in a most uncomfortable state. I said, "Time for a 24 hour drug store!" and Chris dutifully went out in the rain to get the second to last container of baby suppositories. It was a little like a science project, reading the directions and um, instituting them, if you will. We nursed Owen, and waited for ANY MOMENT to be the one. An hour later, we were all tired, Owen was surprisingly calm for not having done anything but eat...and we went back to bed. I slept next to the co-sleeper...and while I thought I heard some activity in the following hours, our little angel did not stir to complain or announce any happenings. By morning, our science experiment had worked. I promised I wouldn't share anything beyond that, but let's just say, Chris and Owen took a shower together...and the fallout both on the baby and his surroundings was something akin to a Frat Party that had gone terribly wrong...

he is feeling much better now, thank you!

All right, I can give you some pointers on how to use them a little more easily. But I'm glad the experiment worked!

I'm not sure there is an easier way to use them. . . really only one way to go with a suppository :-)
