Catch Me If You Can. . .

Well it has been a little while since I checked in, and I thought it was time. Things are going pretty well at home. We have had visitors in the last few weeks, Ann Marie and Jeremy.

We bought a new tv, and that was exciting, but mostly because the old one started making angry noises when we left it on too long. The new one is really shiny and takes up way less

Work has been busy for me, but busy is good. We were super slow for the two months right after the baby was born, which was nice, but I was starting to get tired of keeping myself occupied when I really wanted to be home with Owen and Jess. Right now I am working on a set for TBS Baseball, ESPN NASCAR, and another smaller news area for ESPN. I also found out today that I will be traveling quite a bit more for work this summer than usual. (which is not really at all) I have 4-5 days in Bristol, CT at ESPN around the end of the month, and the same in Atlanta at the end of August. Also a trip to Atlanta for a day or two in the next week or so. And that is just for work. Hopefully Jess and Owen will be joining me for the time in Bristol, ESPN puts us up in nice suites with an indoor pool.

Then we get to do our vacation travel. We are visiting my parents, or as they now prefer to be called, “Owen’s Grandparents”. That will be our first flying adventure with Owen. I hope he is up to it, but he is usually a good traveler. That is in just a couple weeks. Then in August, we are off to Pittsburgh to see Grandma Crystal and Grandma Retta. This will be Owen’s longest car ride to date, at 5-6hrs. (hopefully we will stay close to that time) Then we have the excitement in September of a trip to North Carolina, also flying. We will get to stay with our friend Amir a little on the way there and back, but mostly we will be staying at a condo near(ish) the beach. (we should talk to Amir about staying with him, but he is out of the country)

Sounds busy, doesn’t it? But at the same time it is so nice to be able to visit family and friends again. It was hard, in Boston, when we were unable to get home on a regular basis.

Next on the docket: Holiday Plans. (isn’t it July?)
