Chris said it was a milestone worthy of pictures...the day he assembled the crib in the baby's room. You can see the progression of construction, along with the questioning looks from the squirrels. I made a point of taking a picture of Chris reading the directions; notice that it is not the first picture...but near the end of the project...
The final picture is Chris taking a well-deserved break after finishing. You see our dining room and a small view of the living room in the background.
Not only did we get the crib ready, but we found two lovely pieces of carpet, one for the baby's room and one for the dining room, to create some soft places for baby and parents to crawl and play in our otherwise hardwood apartment. The cats are already thanking us, sure that we installed the carpets for them.
It does feel like we are getting our place ready for a new addition, which is good; his current accommodations will not be available beyond the next 6 or 7 weeks.
